Calling All Disney Fans! You Could Meet Josh D’Amaro at This Special Event

One of the best parts of being a Disney fan is engaging with some of the brightest minds that make the Disney magic what it is. Whether that’s interacting with the heart of the Disney Parks: Cast Members, getting the chance to interact with some of the higher-ups like Disney CEO Bob Iger or Disney Parks chairman Josh D’Amaro, or even meeting present and former brilliant Disney Imagineers from Walt Disney Imagineering (like Disney Legend Bob Gurr)  who have made the Parks what they are today, being able to interact with the people behind the magic is always a wonderful experience. And it turns out there’s another one of these opportunities coming up: Josh D’Amaro will be making a special appearance at the upcoming Destination D23 event.

Journalist Scott Gustin took to Twitter to share the news that tickets for Destination D23 will be going on sale on March 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. ET. The general ticket costs $329 (+ a $7 processing fee), and a preferred ticket costs $549 (+ a $7 processing fee). Disney encouraged Disney Park fans to become D23 gold members in order to purchase tickets when they go on sale.

The event also coincides with the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration, which marks the 100th anniversary of the Mouse House—already on at the Disneyland Resort. Whether in light of this or otherwise, Disney Parks head Josh D’Amaro will be present at the event and giving a special presentation.

As Gustin also specified, Josh D’Amaro will make a special appearance and presentation at Destination D23, “a fun and entertaining presentation about what makes a Disney experience so magical and memorable for guests and fans around the world.”

Along with this presentation from Mr. D’Amaro, there are also many other highlights to look forward to:

• A special exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives and Walt Disney Imagineering celebrating 100 years of Disney.
• Mickey’s of Glendale—the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store returns with a pop-up shop at the event featuring a selection of exclusive Destination D23 and Walt Disney Imagineering merchandise.
• The Walt Disney Company Store—D23 Gold Members on the East Coast will have access to a pop-up version of the official Walt Disney Company Store, featuring both employee and D23 member-exclusive merchandise!
• Ink & Paint Marketplace—attendees will also have the opportunity to shop at this marketplace of exclusive Disney partners for exciting products from around The Walt Disney Company!

 

As our Disney Fanatics already know, Destination D23, different from the D23 Expo, is taking place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World Resort from September 8, 2023, to September 10, 2023.
