It is officially the spookiest time of the year at The Happiest Place on Earth! Halloween has made its way to Disneyland Resort, and there’s no better time to plan your visit! Not only does Disney fill Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney with amazing decorations (and a GIANT Mickey jack-o-lantern), but there are also delicious limited-time food and drink offerings, ride overlays, and more. Love The Nightmare Before Christmas? Then head over to Disneyland Park where you can ride Haunted Mansion Holiday!
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, guests can experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark each day, beginning at about 3 p.m. Then, on select nights, guests can attend the hard-ticketed — and sold-out — event, Oogie Boogie Bash.
Oogie Boogie Bash is Disneyland Resort’s Halloween party, replacing Mickey’s Halloween Party in 2019. There is an incredible parade, dance parties, and even a Villains Grove. One of the most exciting parts of Oogie Boogie Bash is the interactive treat trails that allow guests to speak with some rare characters that they won’t see at any other time.
At last year’s Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney introduced some new characters — Ernesto De La Cruz from Coco, Madam Mim from The Sword in the Stone, Bruno from Encanto, Agatha Harkness from WandaVision, and Sid from Toy Story. This year, two new characters will be joining them — Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Yokai from Big Hero 6.
Disneyland Resort cast members had a chance to experience Oogie Boogie Bash before it opens to the general public. And now, we have our first look at the devious Judge Doom!

It is important for guests to note that the more popular interactive treat trails — like Judge Doom’s — will need to keep moving, so they don’t get backed up. Disneyland Resort cast members will be on hand to make sure guests don’t stop and hold up the line, so they can get pictures. Be sure to have your phone out and recording, so you can get some great footage while continuing to keep the line flowing.
What’s great about these treat trails is that you can visit them as many times as you want! If you want to see Judge Doom, or any of the villains, more than once, you are more than welcome to do so.
Pro Tip: Disney cast members give out A LOT of candy during Oogie Boogie Bash. When you check in for the party, you will be given a small bag, but it is not nearly big enough to hold all the treats you will receive. It is a good idea to bring your own trick-or-treat or reusable bag to hold all your goodies.
