Disney Star Rushed to Hospital After Possible Heart Attack

When people think about Pixar movies, they typically think of mega-hits like Toy Story, Cars, Finding Nemo, Up, Coco, and Monsters Inc. In fact, Pixar changed the film industry in 1995 with Toy Story. It was the first movie made completely through computer animation. But there is another film that has wedged its way into the hearts and minds of people around the world. That is the 1998 film A Bug’s Life.

A Bug’s Life tells the story of Flik, a clumsy ant who is a misfit in his colony. Flik goes off on a journey to find a group of warrior bugs to help protect his home from Hopper. Hooper is the leader of a group of evil grasshoppers who make the ants forage for food and then take it all. Flik needs to help his colony, so they don’t starve during the winter.

A Bug’s Life stars David Foley as Flik, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Princess Atta, Hayden Panettiere as Dot, and Kevin Spacey as Hopper. The troupe of “warrior bugs” used the voice talents of David Hyde Pierce as Slim, Dennis Leary as Francis, Madeline Kahn as Gyspy Moth, and Bonnie Hunt as Rosie.

On October 4, it was reported that actor Kevin Spacey was rushed to the hospital after experiencing heart attack symptoms. Spacey had been in Uzbekistan, attending the Tashkent International Film Festival.

According to TMZ, which first reported the incident:

Spacey spoke about the health scare in Uzbekistan at the Tashkent International Film Festival during its closing ceremony Monday night … saying his entire arm went numb for about 8 seconds while taking a tour of the Afrasiyab Museum in the city of Samarkand earlier in the day.

Fearing he was having a heart attack, Kevin says he raced to the hospital.

Thankfully, Spacey was not suffering from a heart attack and received a clean bill of health from the hospital.

Spacey’s Legal Trouble

Spacey has been avoiding the spotlight for the past few years, after some serious sexual misconduct allegations were levied against him.

In 2017, Broadway star Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making sexual advances towards him when Rapp was just 14 years old. He claims that Spacey was intoxicated. It was not the first time that Rapp had told his story, but it was the first time that Spacey had been identified. Spacey said that he did not remember the incident but apologized.

In total, 15 people, including Rapp, accused Spacey of sexual assault. Spacey was recently found not guilty on nine counts of sexual assault by a British Court. He was also found not liable in the lawsuit Rapp filed against him in the state of New York.

He also had charges against him dropped after he was accused of sexually assaulting the son of a Massachusetts news anchor when the boy was 18. The boy claimed he had text messages to prove what Spacey had done. But then the phone went missing, and the case was dismissed with prejudice.

Spacey also faced harsh criticism when he came out as gay in 2017. Spacey had been quiet about his relationships and sexuality all of his life, and decided to come out just days after he was accused of sexual assault by Rapp. He was then accused of using his sexuality as a way to avoid accepting responsibility for the claims made against him.
