Christmas at Disney World is infamous for its crowds. When one is immersed in the holiday crowd, it can seem like there is a blanket level of busy all across the Parks. But in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, some rides are still more popular than others.
Thanks to WDWStats, we can find a definitive answer to the question, what were the most popular rides on one of the busiest days of the year?
Here were the busiest rides for each Park.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Avatar: Flight of Passage
On Christmas Day, the second most popular ride at Walt Disney World Resort was Avatar: Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The 4-D simulator ride held an average wait time of 141 minutes throughout the entire day and saw a peak wait time of 205 minutes! Its neighbor in Pandora: The World of Avatar, Navi River Journey, came in second with an average wait time of 72 minutes and a peak of 115.
On the other side of the Park, though, Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain earns the title of the most troublesome ride at Disney World on Christmas Day, posting more unscheduled closure time than any other ride at any of the four Theme Parks.

Magic Kingdom Park, Peter Pan’s Flight
Over at Magic Kingdom, Peter Pan’s Flight recorded the highest wait times. While this ride is known for always having a serious line, WDW Stats appears to find the average wait time was 79 minutes with a peak time of 110 minutes.
It is worth noting, however, that the wait times at Magic Kingdom are actually relatively lower when compared to those found elsewhere.

The Most Popular Disney World Ride on Christmas: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
While this may not come as a surprise to anybody reading this article, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance proved to be the most popular attraction at Walt Disney World Resort on December 25. It recorded an average wait time of 143 minutes and a peak of 215.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios was also the location of the third-most and fourth-most popular attractions in the entire Resort. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror saw an average wait time of 115 minutes and a peak time of 205 minutes, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run held an average of 114 minutes but a peak time of 210 minutes.

These visuals also show the consistency of each ride’s popularity throughout the day, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios attractions clearly held the most demand out of their peers across the property. It appears that Disney World Guests were determined to hold their place in line for Smugglers Run throughout the entire day.
