One of the amazing things about vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort is how safe you feel once you are inside the magical gates. The world seems to be in a state of upheaval, but, at Disney World, that chaos seems further away than before. Whether you are at the parks, Disney Springs, or your resort hotel, danger might be the last thing you think about.
Unfortunately, Disney World is still a part of the real world, and bad people with bad intentions can claw their way into the magic. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, that is exactly what happened last month.
A newly released report from the sheriff’s office states that 22-year-old Clayton Snider — who is from Kentucky — was arrested after being caught taking pictures of guests using the men’s restroom at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa. The alleged incident that preceded the arrest occurred on October 6, 2023.

According to the report, an unidentified 19-year-old claimed that he had been eating dinner at the Grand Florida Café when he got up to use the bathroom. He claims that, while he was in the bathroom, a man — later identified as Snider — snuck his phone over the top of the bathroom stall and took a photo. The unidentified man said that he did not see who took the photo, but noticed that he was wearing slip-on black Skechers sneakers.

The man went back to his table and told his family what had happened. The report is redacted, but the man allegedly went back to the bathroom with some of his family. Snider was still there, and they confronted him. Snider was reportedly asked if he had photographed the young man, where he was elusive but denied the accusation. He was also asked to show them his phone, and he said no.
The young man’s family then sought out Disney employees and alerted them to what had happened.
The report goes on to say that cast members alerted law enforcement, who confronted Snider. They noted that he was wearing black slip-on Skechers. He agreed to let the officers take a look at the photos on his phone. At first, nothing popped up. However, these officers continued to look.
The Sheriff’s Report claims that the officers took a look at Snider’s “Recently Deleted” album. It was there that they found a video. According to officers, the last deleted item was a video. The video had been taken over the divider in the bathroom. Police stated that the victim in the video had his pants down around his ankles. Based on his outfit, it was clear to officers that it was the unidentified man who made the initial complaint.
Snider was arrested on charges of third-degree felony video voyeurism.
Police escorted him to the station, and he requested a lawyer when they tried to question him. His phone — which was in a Lilo & Stitch case — reportedly ran out of battery. He refused to give the officers the passcode to his Apple Watch. Both were taken from Snider and placed into evidence.
