Even though the Disney Parks have been facing a lot of backlash lately due to many negative customer experiences (and rising prices across the board), there is one area where some Disney fans still hold a lot of affection for the Walt Disney Company: old Disney Channel reruns. Back in the day, shows like That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Lizzie McGuire, Kim Possible, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody all took TV primetime by storm.

Kids and teenagers loved watching the lighthearted sitcoms that brought actors like Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Raven-Symoné, Demi Lovato, Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, and Dylan and Cole Sprouse to fame.

Disney Channel Original Movies like the High School Musical series also brought the Disney Channel some extra attention — and apparently, even though these classic shows might not be regularly aired anymore, they are still holding a special place in at least one Disney Channel fan’s heart!

An artist named Kalle Pascal (with the Youtube handle KalleFORnia SurferBOY) has just written and composed a song dedicated to Disney Channel classics — and if you watched those shows, you might find yourself singing along passionately after just one viewing of the lyric video (shown below)!

The song by Pascal references Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody the most, but it also directly refers to the Disney darlings of the day (such as Demi Lovato, Zac Efron, and the Jonas Brothers).

One of the real highlights from the music video, however, is Pascal’s recreation of what is arguably one of the most iconic scenes from the Disney Channel of old: the magically-drawn Mickey Mouse logo.

Stars from the Disney Channel’s biggest shows would hold a wand and ‘magically’ draw the Mickey Mouse logo in the lower corner of viewers’ screens, telling viewers that “they’re watching Disney Channel” right before the commercials were over and the episode went back to playing.

That scene is repeated several times in the music video, as Pascal sings about longing to be a character on any of their favorite Disney Channel TV shows from their childhood and their high school years.

Do you identify with Pascal’s nostalgia when it comes to the Disney Channel shows or Disney Channel Original Movies?

Which TV shows were your favorite Disney Channel shows or the best Disney Channel offerings overall — and did you pay attention to the struggles that the Disney stars were facing offscreen, or did you prefer to know only their onscreen characters (even if they were, according to one Suite Life star, treated inappropriately)?
