This is Halloween, This is Halloween, Pumpkins scream in the dead of night!
Halloween time at Disneyland Resort is one of the best times to visit The Happiest Place on Earth. There are jack o’ lanterns all over the place, bats in the Carthay Circle belfry, and the villains come out to play. One of Disney’s most iconic attractions even gets a Nightmare Before Christmas makeover! The Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday and lasts through the new year. There’s also a ton of specialty food and drinks, full of sugar and spice, and everything nice, but be prepared to deal with some heat!
One of the most exciting parts of the Halloween season takes place over at Disney California Adventure Park. Oogie Boogie Bash was first introduced in 2019, and was an immediate hit. The hard-ticketed event had to take a COVID hiatus for a couple of years, but is now back and more in-demand than ever. On June 27, presale tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash went on sale. Some Magic Key Holders waited in the queue for more than 5 hours, just to find out that all presale tickets were gone by the time they were able to purchase.
On June 29, tickets to this years Oogie Boogie Bash opened to the general public at just after 9 a.m. Pacific time. Unfortunately, less than 10 minutes later, those who were waiting in the virtual queue were informed that ticket sales had been paused. The website remains down at this time, so Guests have been waiting more than 4 hours for them to resume.
This is not the first time that Disney Guests have had issues with purchasing tickets to hard-ticketed events. In fact, it seems that nearly every time tickets for a special event go on sale, there are issues with either the Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort website. The websites frequently crash, or people find themselves getting error messages when they try to make a purchase. Even though Disney appears to know about the problem, they never seem to figure out a way to fix it before tickets are released for the next event.
