The roadways of the Walt Disney World Resort can be a hazardous area. Each day is filled with a chaotic combination of drivers who have no idea where they are going, know exactly where they are going, and want to beat everyone else there, are distracted for a number of reasons, or a combination of the two. And all the while, Disney World Cast Members must also brave these same roads, including Walt Disney World Security.
In one unfortunate recent event, one Disney World Guest spotted one of Disney Security’s K-9 units on the side of the road. Its front end was damaged in a collision. There appears to be no sign of the other car, but it is unclear whether or not this Security Officer and his four-legged partner were victims of a hit-and-run incident.
The pictures were posted to Reddit with the caption,
“Disney K-9 unit got in a little fender bender down the road from where they train at. Hope nobody or doggos got hurt.”

Disney World security operates in close connection with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to ensure that all Guests have a safe visit to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the rest of the Walt Disney World Resort. The K-9 units are mostly seen posted at the security checkpoint of each Park conducting a subtle screening.
Earlier this year, Disney Parks shared a feature story on two of these four-legged Cast Members, Chore and Jordan. Click the link below to read our previous coverage of that story.
