#SaveSplashMountain Trends on Disney Ride’s Last Day

Save Splash Mountain

As Disney fans get their last Splash Mountain experience at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, others continued the fight and debate over the log-flume ride’s removal on social media, as #SaveSplashMountain has been trending all day.

There have been several different forms of fan pressure to save the ride ever since it was announced that it would be replaced by the Princess and the Frog-themed attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, from signing petitions to even pleading for Florida’s Governor’s intervention. But it seems that the holdouts are still not ready to give up yet.

Michael Tardi (@MTARDI32) took a screenshot of the massive wait time fans created this morning at Magic Kingdom Park, saying,

“200 minute wait. 33 years & it’s a problem? Absolutely ridiculous. There’s nothing wrong with this ride. Build Tiana somewhere else.”

Karen Mauro (@iamKarenMauro) chimed in, saying,

“I’m a WDW annual pass-holder for many years. Wish I kept could of how many times I rode #SplashMountain. It’s going to be hard going there in a couple of weeks seeing it closed off, knowing what’s to become of it. Now I’m wishing for a Disney miracle. #SaveSplashmountain #Disney”

But not everybody wants to see the briar patch stay intact. But rather than state their case, those ready for a new ride attack the people behind #SaveSplashMountain themselves.

@Vinbreezal said,

“From someone who used to love Splash as a kid… y’all “save splash mountain” people really made me dislike the ride so much and I’m welcoming Tiana with open arms. At least it will finally be a film I love and have actually SEEN. My girl Tiana about to take over.”

Regardless of how Disney fans feel about it, today will be the last day fans can visit Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear in Disneyland and Disney World. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open in its place in late 2024.
