Scorpions Found by Guest at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

In a scary turn of events, some Guests found a scorpion waiting for them when they returned to their room at the Pop Century Resort.

Being a Disney Guest is a one-of-a-kind experience, but this Guest got a little more than they bargained for during their trip to a Disney Park, particularly the Walt Disney World Resort. An undisclosed Reddit user took to the platform to share that they found a scorpion in their room at the Pop Century Resort, along with photos.

Since the initial post of this article, the photos and story have since been removed from Reddit.

The user then went on to post the following update after they shared the initial photos:

“After notifying the front desk we received a call from the manager and they hooked us up with passes for Cosmic, FOP, and ROTR as well as credit on the room. My kid has finally calmed down so I’m most grateful for that! This has been an entire experience to say the least!”

While the experience was undoubtedly terrifying for the party involved, some Redditors appear to have devised a hack to get a free room upgrade at the Disney Resort! User @ohsoGosu commented: “Currently packing a dead scorpion for my trip.”

Meanwhile, another user, @nicolelynnejones lamented when they didn’t report a similar find during their 2020 Disney vacation: “Dang, we found a cockroach in our room in 2020 and didn’t say anything I regret that now.”

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of the many resorts at Walt Disney World. The website describes it as a place to:

“Experience the unforgettable fads of the 1950s through the 1990s all over again. From yo-yos and Play-Doh® to Rubik’s Cube® and rollerblades, this Resort hotel salutes the timeless fashions, catch phrases, toys and dances that captivated the world through the decades.”

Whatever the Pop Century Resort may offer to Guests, it certainly gave this Disney fan and Reddit user the unforgettable experience it promised!
