The Disney100 celebration has been one of the most momentous occasions in Disney’s history. Walt Disney built his empire from the ground up. He started first in Kansas City, Missouri, and then moved to Los Angeles, California, in August of 1923. Famously, Walt Disney is said to have had “$40 in [his] pocket and a coat and a pair of trousers that didn’t match.” He came and built what would eventually become a household name in entertainment, movies, and Theme Park entertainment.

This year, it’s been 100 years of Disney, and the company is certainly going all out to mark the moment. From exhibitions and special outfits for many a Disney character to the stunning decor at Disneyland Resort and soon to come at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney has been pulling out all the stops. Now they shared photos of the first look for the new lighting show of EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth that is coming up later this year in honor of Disney100.

Now, we’re excited to have Spaceship Earth ring in the biggest celebration yet, the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.”
