Outlet SLAMS Disney for Splash Mountain Closure, Lists Other “Problematic” Rides to Shut Down Immediately

Splash Mountain may be gone, but the controversy lives on. An outlet slammed Disney for its decision to close the popular fan-favorite.

Fans have been mourning the now-closed Splash Mountain even before it finally shut. The fan-favorite has made many Guests’ Disney vacation at the Disney Resort, and many Disney fans have expressed disappointment at the fact that Disney is choosing to turn its back on such a beloved attraction.

The decision to change Splash Mountain and retheme it as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was one that many fans disagreed with, and they have voiced their displeasure time and time again. Last month a FOX news anchor even termed Disney’s decision to be “woke” and “worthless.”

Now, another outlet has slammed the Mouse House for its decision going so far as to list the other rides that need to be shut down immediately for being “problematic.”

1. Space Mountain: It’s too white.
2. Matterhorn Bobsleds: Also white.
3. Mad Tea Party: The tea was stolen from colonized India.
4. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: It sucks.
5. Haunted Mansion: Do you know who built that mansion? Slaves, probably.
6. The Hall of Presidents: Trump.
7. Pirates of the Caribbean: Handsome skeletons create unrealistic standards of beauty that can lead to deadly eating disorders.
8. Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin: 1.3 million people die in car accidents every year.
9. Indiana Jones™ Adventure: A white man stealing sacred artifacts from indigenous peoples is no basis for family entertainment.
10. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room: Koro the Midnight Dancer perpetuates harmful Polynesian stereotypes.
11. Frozen Ever After: Again, TOO WHITE! How many times do we have to go over this?

Splash Mountain’s replacement, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, will be located in the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida at the Disney Theme Park Magic Kingdom. Per the Disney Parks Blog, the New Orleans-inspired attraction “will take Guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film.”
