“I’m going to Disney World!”
For decades, those words were shouted by newly-christened NFL world champions across national television as they celebrated their Super Bowl victory.
But this year, neither the Kansas City Chiefs nor the Philadelphia Eagles will be saying that after they win Super Bowl LVII.
Instead, the football champions will say, “I’m going to Disneyland!”
On February 9, Disney Parks officially confirmed that Super Bowl celebrations would be held at Disneyland Park on Monday, February 13, 2023.

Popularized during the reign of Disney CEO Michael Eisner, the NFL’s tradition of bringing Super Bowl celebrations to Disney Parks has actually always alternated between the Disneyland Resort in Southern California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida.
The deciding factor of which Resort will host the festivities usually depends on where the Super Bowl is actually held. Is the game closer to Disneyland or Disney World?
Last year Disney Fanatic reported Los Angeles Rams stars Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald visited Disneyland after their Super Bowl Vistory in Los Angeles. This year, Super Bowl LVII will be played in Glendale, Arizona, making Disneyland–just a few hours’ drive away–the more favorable location. And now, it is only a question of whether it will be Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce waving to fans down Main Street, U.S.A., or Philly’s Jalen Hurts, and DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown.
But it seems that not everybody was familiar with the trend, as many commented on Disney’s decision upset, having accidentally booked Walt Disney World Resort reservations instead.
Super Bowl LVII kicks off Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 6:30 pm Eastern Time. Fans looking to celebrate at The Happiest Place On Earth will still need to secure a valid Disneyland Theme Park Reservation on top of a Theme Park Ticket to enjoy the day.
