This Eco-Friendly Makeup Brand Has Added Some Disney Villain Inspiration to Its Collection

Are You More Maleficent Or The Evil Queen?

Since Disney princesses are all about natural beauty and understated glamour, it makes sense that they would have their own makeup lines (especially this limited-edition one for the Ultimate Princess Celebration!) — but sometimes Disney villains serve as the inspiration for makeup collections, too! The indie brand Tower 28 Beauty, which is a vegan and sustainability-focused brand for people with sensitive skin, has just shared its take on Disney villain lip glosses.

The brand’s unique ShineOn Lip Jellies supposedly have “the shine of a gloss, the comfort of a balm, and a pop of color…for never sticky, always shiny lips,” and the Disney villains who were matched up with the Lip Jellies are Maleficent, the Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, and Cruella De Vil.

With her purple and vampy motifs in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, it’s no surprise that the Disney villain Maleficent (at least, the animated version of her) has been paired up with the “Fearless” Lip Jelly, which is a dark eggplant color. It’s also a good match for her lip color in the film! Surprisingly, lots of Disney villains naturally seem to be wearing lipstick or darker lip colors.

Since the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (not the upcoming live-action version with Gal Gadot) clearly has red lips, it’s fitting that her chosen Tower 29 Lip Jelly would be the juicy red shade “XOXO”. This color looks a bit more citrusy than expected, but definitely still fits a royal look.

Since The Queen of Hearts from ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is so fiery and feisty, Disney fans will easily understand why her matching Lip Jelly is the shade “Fire”, and this orange shade is definitely bold and whimsical enough for Wonderland.

You may not have expected Tower 28 Beauty to feature Scar as a Disney villain with their lip products, but here he is! To match the lion character’s tawny fur and the tan colors in the savannah, Tower 28 paired him with Almond, a neutral brown gloss. This look might seem boring, but it can be a great lip gloss for anyone who wants a subtle look!

Although Ursula has dark red lipstick in ‘The Little Mermaid’, Tower 28 paired this Disney villain with the “Chill” Lip Jelly, which is a shimmery clear gloss. This gloss sounds understated, but it’s a good way to look icy and cool while planning devious schemes!

Cruella de Vil gets the last laugh with the classic cool-toned red Lip Jelly “Spicy”. Red lipsticks actually match many Disney villains, but the stark red contrast between Cruella’s clothing and accessories means that red is definitely one of her signatures! Which Disney villain matches their lip product best, in your opinion?
