A ‘Disney Adult’ accidentally ruining the magic is nothing new for Walt Disney World Resort, but this situation is especially uncomfortable…
Walt Disney World is for the young and young at heart, but sometimes the two groups collide–literally.
One such case occurred at Disney’s Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World. A TikTok video was uploaded by @daniellesmagicallifestyle shared a video of her fiance–who she describes as a “Disney Adult” colliding with a little kid on the pool slide. Luckily no one was hurt.
Her caption read, “My fiance’s toxic trait: Thinking he can still go down the kids slide in Walt Disney World.”

@daniellesmagicalifestyle Watch out for those Disney Adults 🤣 no kids were hurt in this video!! #waltdisneyworld #disneybloopers #waterslide #ridiculousness #afhvideos #tiktokviral #disneyadult #disneyresort #waterslidefail #rivieraresort #disneyadultlife
Luckily no one was injured, but seeing the little kid in water wings completely submerged beneath the surface is traumatizing enough for some. In most cases, a lifeguard will be at the top of the slide controlling the flow of traffic, suggesting that this unfortunate mashup was a unique coincidence.
While clearly unintentional, the incident once again highlights an ongoing debate surrounding the growing distaste for “Disney Adults” and the question of whether Disney is reserved only for guests who are actually kids and not adults who want to act like they are still kids.
The incident took place at the pool of Disney’s Riviera Resort: a Disney Vacation Club Resort themed to transport Guests to the romantic beauty of the Italian and French Riviera. It is also the location of the popular rooftop character dining restaurant, Toppolino’s Terrace.
The Walt Disney World Resort describes the Riviera Resort as the following:
Enchantment awaits you at a Resort hotel that’s inspired by Europe and imagined by Disney. Here, you can delight in exhilarating activities, delectable dining and stylish accommodations—from cozy Tower Studios to spacious villas with up to 3 bedrooms.

First of all, the pools and slides are for everyone. This was an unfortunate accident and apparently the person working the slides should have given adequate space between persons using the slide but quit giving Disney “Adults” the bad rap for everything that involves an adult. If there is a slide that the cast member can’t see the bottom, you would think there would be a camera for them to watch at the bottom. That would be Disney’s fault not the guy riding the slide.
