While the majority of the story has certainly come to a close, a recent update continues to demonstrate the victory that current Cast Members earned.
Journalist Scott Gustin took to Twitter to share that according to Cast Member union leaders, unionized Disney Park Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort will receive retroactive pay for all hours worked from October 2, 2022, through March 25, 2023, next week. Gustin added that Disney is still working to adjust payment for Cast Members going forward.
According to union leaders, Disney is still working to adjust pay rates for March 25 going forward. Disney has 8 weeks to make all necessary updates – and an additional retroactive payment will go out for raises from March 25 until the pay rate updates are completed.

Cast Members will also receive more retroactive increased pay for all payments from March 25, 2023, until all the wage updates are complete on the side of the Mouse House.
For people who are the heart and soul of the Walt Disney World experience, this is a long overdue raise that is most certainly welcome news for the Cast Members themselves and Disney fans alike.
Disney fans have expressed before that they hoped all of Disney’s price rises were benefitting Cast Members as opposed to lining the pockets of senior executives.
