Want A Halloween or Disney Villain Wedding? Here’s The Perfect Setting For You

While we all love a frothy, whimsical Disney wedding, the rise of autumn and the ongoing Halloween celebrations mean that many Disney fans or engaged Disney-loving couples are looking for something darker and less “fairy tale” for their weddings. Disney Fairy Tale Weddings is well aware of this, and actually took to Instagram to share their take on a Disney Villain wedding! “Moody wedding aesthetics are trending – and we love it!” Disney Weddings said in the Instagram post. “This reception décor” which is shown in the images below “was inspired by Disney Villains. Incorporating luxurious velvet tablecloths, black details and lots of dramatic candlelight.” Take a look at these richly-toned, but definitely “moody” wedding details!

No Disney villain lair would be complete without some candles or firelight to add sinister ambience, and we love the candle centerpieces in this wedding reception vignette! While Disney Fairy Tale Weddings also came out with some absolutely gorgeous 50th-anniversary wedding vignettes (one for each of the four Walt Disney World Parks), this autumnal and villainous reception decor definitely stands out. We could see this being perfect for a regular fall wedding, or even for a Christmas or holiday wedding, if just a few of the decorations were adjusted! For a Disney Villain or Halloween version, it works very well, too. The “velvet tablecloths” really remind us of classic Disney villains' capes, like the one that the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves wears. And while a red rose might normally make us think of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, the ones here are more decadent and even somewhat Gothic.

One of the best things about this wedding reception vignette is that it would allow an engaged Disney couple to embrace autumn, Disney villains, or Halloween without anything too kitschy. There's no monstrous Halloween characters, DIY Halloween cupcakes, pumpkins, or really obvious nods to Disney villains; instead, it's all done through subtlety. Most Guests probably wouldn't even know where the inspiration had come from!

As we said earlier, this reception's floral touches would also be amazing for a Christmas wedding. So if you're engaged and looking for some Disney inspiration for your wedding, keep this vignette in mind (then check out these suggestions for wedding dresses to match the elegant look)!
