Influencers visit Walt Disney World every day. But an influencer being confronted by Disney security? Now that’s definitely not as common…

One of the great things about Walt Disney World Resort is that the four theme parks have so much more than fun rides and delicious food. The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom all have amazing shows that are put on every day.

Some — like Festival of the Lion King — are performed on actual stages, while others are performed in the theme park streets as guests gather around.

Over at EPCOT, there are a lot of fantastic performances that take place around World Showcase Lagoon. Over in the Japan Pavilion, the Matsuriza perform stunning ceremonial drum shows.

In Paris, you have performers who stack chairs in precarious positions to unimaginable heights. Renowned Canadian bands perform over in the Canada pavilion, and so much more.

For a while, the China pavilion used to have professional yo-yoers put on quite the show for guests walking through the area. However, that show was canceled several years ag0 — possibly when the theme park closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. While most of the entertainment options have returned to Disney, some of them appear to be gone for good.

The YouTube channel Spyros Bros is dedicated to the Filipino Dance Duo of the same name who put on Diablo shows — another term for Chinese yo-yo shows. Spyros Bros have traveled the world and even appeared on popular television shows like America’s Got Talent.

Recently, the duo traveled to Walt Disney World Resort and headed over to the China Pavilion. There, they learned that Chinese yo-yos were no longer being sold.

They were disappointed to hear the news, but had brought their own Chinese yo-yos with them. When darkness hit, one of the men whipped out his LED yo-yo and began putting on one heck of a performance.

Unfortunately, the infulencer was confronted by a Disney security guard and was told that he was not allowed to perform in the area. Several guests had gathered around to watch the performance and were disappointed when Disney security shut him down.

It is important to note that Disney security was not discriminating against the professional yo-yoer. Disney does have certain property rules that guests must follow while visiting. This includes not engaging in any unauthorized activities:

Unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.

One of the men said that Disney had “made a huge mistake.” He called out the company for cutting multiple entertainment options that it used to offer in the parks.

Back in 2014, Disney ended performances by the popular World Showcase Players, who put on hilarious reenactments of things like King Arthur and his quest for the Holy Grail (grail, grail, grail!). They also were known for their sidesplitting take on Romeo & Edna — AKA, their version of Romeo & Juliet.

Spyros Bros accepted that they could not perform in the parks, but said that they wanted to bring back “the old Disney.”

Perhaps this will get Disney’s attention, and they will bring back some of the shows that haven’t been around for years.

  1. Definitely yes! The performances add to the guest experience.

  2. I am unsubscribing from your web page! What kind of DISNEY page allows sexually explicit advertisers up and down the stories??!! Another Disney idea to “enlighten” our children? No thank you!!!
