Star Wars fans rejoice! The newest fan-favorite character from the Star Wars universe is coming to the Disney Parks!
When the Walt Disney Company bought Lucasfilm in 2012, many Disney and Star Wars fans were unsure if the move was right for either entertainment company. Over the years, from series and movies like The Mandalorian and Rogue One to lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, the acquisition of the iconic studio by Disney has proven inarguably profitable for the Mouse House.
Most recently, one character that fans have been clamoring to see more of is Ahsoka Tano, introduced in the 2008 Clone Wars animated film.

Is There Going To Be a ‘Star Wars’ Ahsoka Series?
In December 2020, Disney announced a series focused on the beloved character Ahsoka Tano. Actress Rosario Dawson (who also played a lead role in the Haunted Mansion movie released earlier this summer) plays the fan-favorite Ahsoka.
The series is set to premiere on August 23, 2023. It will run for eight episodes and focuses on Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female and former Jedi Padawan who, after the Clone Wars, helped establish a network of rebel cells against the Galactic Empire.
The series was developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, and also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, and David Tennant will reprise his role as Huyang: a lightsaber-crafting droid. Hayden Christensen will also appear as Anakin Skywalker.
To celebrate and mark this premiere, Disney Parks announced that beginning August 23, 2023, visitors of Batuu may encounter the beloved Jedi at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park.

Which Disney Park Has Star Wars Characters?
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been one of the most popular haunts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida and its counterpart, the Southern California Disney Resort.
In Disneyland, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is found in the first-ever original Disney Park, Disneyland Park, in its northwest portion, with three entries from Frontierland, Critter Country, and Fantasyland.

What Star Wars IP is in Disneyland?
The land houses multiple iconic Star Wars attractions, rides, and locations. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters are classic experiences; fans also enjoy visiting Savis’ Workshop for hand-built lightsabers and Droid Depot for customized droids.
