Big changes are in store for Disneyland Resort as the hotels prepare for major updates that will reshape the guest experience. Starting as soon as this year, guests will see refreshed designs, new amenities, and enhanced spaces across the resort’s iconic hotels.
While Disneyland Resort doesn’t have as many hotel options as Walt Disney World, it still offers three standout accommodations: Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Pixar Place Hotel. These properties are already pretty stellar, but Disney has plans to undertake even more upgrades in the coming years.
Disneyland Hotel
Disneyland Hotel, the first hotel on the property, will debut a fresh new look this summer with the opening of High Key Club, a concierge lounge celebrating the sounds and music of Disneyland Park from the 1950s.
Located in the Adventure Tower, High Key Club will take over the former E-Ticket Club and will nearly double its size. The lounge will feature a custom soundtrack that plays the classic tunes of Disneyland alongside various artifacts. Guests will also have the perfect view of the park’s fireworks, with the accompanying music adding to the experience.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
At Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, often regarded as the resort’s most luxurious option, the upscale Napa Rose restaurant is set to undergo a significant makeover. A blend of Craftsman style and modern Californian luxury will define the new design, with additions like a chandelier inspired by Mission grapevines and an expanded exhibition kitchen.
More seating will be added to the outdoor patio, along with two new fireplaces to create a cozy al fresco dining experience. Napa Rose will temporarily close in spring 2025, aiming to reopen in the fall with a refreshed menu, including signature dishes like the Smiling Tiger Salad and a renowned wine collection with over 1,500 labels.
Beyond Napa Rose, the Grand Californian will also introduce a new two-story concierge lounge, complementing The Veranda lounge.
This space will capture the spirit of classic California Craftsman design, offering a tranquil place to relax while enjoying views of the Great Hall below. Inspired by the grandeur of giant sequoias, the lounge will be nestled on the 5th and 6th floors of the hotel and is expected to open in 2026.
Additionally, the hotel’s guest rooms, including those at the Disney Vacation Club Villas, will be updated with new décor that complements the existing theme. Bold colors inspired by California wildflowers will be introduced into the upholstery, carpets, and bedding, while local plein air painters will provide new artwork for each room.
Pixar Place Hotel
Pixar Place Hotel, the newest addition to the Disneyland Resort, will continue to evolve with the debut of two themed suites this summer.
A new Coco Suite will showcase Oaxacan-style architecture, featuring terracotta tiles, artisan quilts, handcrafted furniture, and hand-painted art inspired by the Rivera family’s hacienda.
Meanwhile, the new Incredibles Suite will bring a mid-century “spy-fi” twist, complete with superhero touches like hidden messages, a secret door, and a connecting room designed by the iconic Edna Mode herself. These immersive suites are sure to be a hit with Pixar fans.
