After the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked Florida from enforcing one of its laws, some are now worried about its consequences.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is flying on a high right now after facing certain victory in his battle against the Walt Disney Company and the Walt Disney World Resort. However, where he won one, he’s being challenged in another battle.
A US court has blocked the Sunshine State from enforcing one of its laws, and it’s created a sudden worry in fans and citizens about the consequences of the lack of enforcement of the law.
US Court Blocks Florida Law, Fans Question if “Communist Chinese” Can Buy Disney World
As Reuters reported, “A U.S. appeals court has blocked Florida from enforcing a ban on Chinese citizens owning homes or land in the state against two Chinese nationals who were in the process of buying property when the law was adopted.”
The law particularly restricts Chinese nationals and citizens from owning property in the Sunshine State. It’s a law that lawmakers in the Republican-led states of Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama are also considering implementing.
China’s foreign ministry has reportedly commented on this kind of law in the past, saying that such laws “violate the rules of market economy and international trade rules”.
So…the Communist Chinese can buy Disney World (& all the land that it sits on?)!

Of course, some fans and Floridians were appalled to hear the news and were concerned that the blocking of this law could result in certain consequences for the United States.
One commented, “So…the Communist Chinese can buy Disney World (& all the land that it sits on?)!”
Another wrote, “This was just a dumb thing to do.”
While the connection between the “Communist Chinese” and Disney World might not be overt, some might be more familiar with Disney CEO Bob Iger and his relationship with the CCP that allowed Disney to build the Shanghai Disney Resort.
Is building Shanghai Disneyland directly related to this new Florida law? No, not entirely.
But it’s not the first time Disney’s connection to China and the Chinese Communist Party has been questioned. In fact, last year, some shareholders wanted to run an audit on the Walt Disney Company’s and Disney CEO Bob Iger’s relationship with the CCP.
It bears mentioning that there has been no move to buy Disney World by anyone who has been identified as “Communist Chinese”, and it’s unlikely that will ever come to pass.
