A long-awaited character finally made their debut at a Disney Park this month, and the crowds gathered and flocked to see them.
Earlier this year, at the D23 Expo, Josh D’Amaro, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, announced a lot of news for Disney fans. Among this were new movies, tv shows, new character meets ‘n’ greets, and more. Of these, what had many fans on the edge of their seats was when he brought out Jon Favreau to celebrate the arrival of one very special character set.
After years of waiting, just a few days ago, fans finally met Din Djarin, The Mandalorian, and Grogu, Baby Yoda, at Disneyland Resort! These characters from Disney’s hit series, The Mandalorian, made their debut and are now present at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.

However, as has been noted before, many Guests, in their excitement, got a little too close to the characters and had many Cast Members doing their best to protect the characters. As you can see in the video, Guests crowd around the new character, leaving Cast Members no choice but to command Guests to “stay back.”
This response isn’t quite so surprising, considering earlier this year, some Disney fans even went so far as to theorize that these two characters, in particular, would be treated inappropriately by fans. Something that has been noted before with other Disney characters as well.

The Cast Members who portray these characters are no doubt incredibly talented, not to mention highly trained, and love the chance to interact with Guests. It is important to remember to respect Cast Members even while they’re portraying your favorite characters from Star Wars, Marvel, or any other Disney franchise or property.
