Disney Announces Opening Date For Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ!

Just about five years ago, Walt Disney World Resort brought Guests into the heart of one of its most popular Pixar movies — Toy Story. Toy Story Land opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2018, and Guests were able to ride not only Toy Story Mania!, but also Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Dash, a fun and exciting roller coaster. In addition to the fun attractions, the food was on another level. Guests could enjoy homemade toaster cakes and loaded tots from Woody’s Lunch Box as they took in everything in Andy’s backyard.

Then, in 2019, Disney shared that it would be opening another fantastic dining location in the new land! Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ would offer Guests some of the most popular BBQ dishes around. Sadly, Walt Disney World Resort had to close in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so construction on the new restaurant, as well as the opening, had to be delayed.

But now, finally, after more than three years, we finally have an opening date! According to Disney Parks Blog, Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open on March 23!

Howdy, partners! Get ready for some mouthwatering BBQ and all the fixin’s at Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – opening March 23, 2023. 

Using some of his favorite toys, games, and playsets, Andy has created a rodeo arena for his toys … and all honorary toys visiting Andy’s backyard. Chow down on house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides, sweet surprises, and more in this western-themed family-style restaurant, where you’ll see the world through the eyes of Andy’s toys.

I don’t know about you, but I just can’t wait to sink my teeth into some delicious barbecue that Disney knows how to do so well! The menu will feature some incredible offerings like ribs, smoked beef brisket, cheddar biscuits, mac and cheese, potato salad, and more! The restaurant will be family-style, so bring your appetite. And reservations will be highly-recommended, but are not available quite yet.
