Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort just introduced a cutting-edge feature to enhance the Mobile Ordering experience. With live-tracking now available, your favorite Disney Park app promises to make dining even easier and more convenient for guests.
Live-Tracking Comes to Mobile Orders
Mobile Ordering has revolutionized how guests dine at Disney Parks. Initially launched at select Quick Service locations, the feature quickly expanded across dozens of restaurants at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Disney Resort hotels. Now, Disney is taking the service to the next level with real-time tracking through Apple’s Live Activities.
According to Mac Rumors, the Disneyland Resort app and Walt Disney World Resort’s My Disney Experience app now allow guests to track their Mobile Order status directly on their iPhone’s lock screen or in Dynamic Island. This new feature eliminates the need to open the app, offering a smoother and more streamlined dining experience.
How It Works
Guests using iPhones with iOS 16.1 or later can access the feature. The live-tracking display shows essential details like the order number, pickup location, and real-time status. Guests can even use the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button straight from their lock screen when they arrive at the restaurant. Dynamic Island functionality is exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro models and newer, including iPhone 15 and iPhone 16.
Guests using other devices will still need to open the Disneyland Resort or My Disney Experience app to access their order information fully.
Disney App Compatibility
Like most new features, the live-tracking update is only available at select dining locations across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Disney has said the feature will slowly roll out to Quick Service restaurants in the parks and Resort hotels.

How about Disney spend some money getting their backend systems with more redundancy, performance and capacity increases before they start working on fluff notifications on half of the mobile devices in their parks? They have serious issues with their backend systems that keep crashing all the time but they’re spending time and money on mobile app extras that no one asked for.
