Disney Cruise Line Now Booking Port Canaveral to Lighthouse Point Sailings

Disney Cruise Line is expected to open its new island destination next summer. Lighthouse Point is an additional private Disney port in the Caribbean that Guests can enjoy during their vacation. While the location saw bookings open a few months ago that sail out of southern Florida, it had no options to leave from Port Canaveral until now. Fall 2024 itineraries have revealed that cruisers can start their vacation to Lighthouse Point via central Florida on select Disney cruise sailings. Read on to learn which ship is heading to Lighthouse Point from Port Canaveral and when it is happening.

Disney’s Newest Island Paradise Awaits

Those looking to book a cruise vacation on Disney’s newest vessel, the Disney Wish, might be disappointed. The Wish will continue to operate out of Port Canaveral, but it will only offer itineraries that go to Disney’s Castaway Cay island.

If you want to go to Lighthouse Point via Port Canaveral in 2024, your only option is the Disney Fantasy cruise ship. Starting October 12, the Fantasy will include Lighthouse Point as a stop for seven four-night sailings. Four of these itineraries will stop at Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay, giving Disney fans a double dose of private island fun. The other three bookings will replace Castaway Cay with the port of Nassau.

Once these special four-night sailings pass, the Disney Fantasy will continue to operate on a seven-night itinerary with only Castaway Cay as its private island stop.

The Disney Dream is also booking shorter cruises to Lighthouse Point from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, but this location is not ideal for cruisers hot off the heels from a trip to Walt Disney World. The Disney Magic will join the Dream here occasionally with trips to Lighthouse Point.

Other exciting itineraries announced for Fall 2024 include Hawaii and the South Pacific. Select Ships will also sail from Puerto Rico and Galveston, Texas. With the Disney Treasure on the horizon and a new ship heading to Singapore in the future, Disney Cruise Line is shaping up to have an exciting few years.
