If there’s one thing that you can be sure of when visiting a Disney Park, it’s the fact that you will have to wait in line. For almost everything. There will be lines for rides, lines for food, lines for merchandise, lines for character meets, lines for the bathroom, and even lines for the sink (as many women know). Visiting Disney takes patience and understanding, especially if you are visiting during a busy time of the year, like summer or a holiday. That patience can be hard to maintain when other guests decide to test it.
One action that will REALLY test a guest’s patience and kindness is line-cutting. For as long as there have been lines, there has been line-cutting, but it seems to have gotten worse lately. A big problem at Disney — and other theme parks — is one or two people in a party waiting in line and then the rest of their party coming in at the last minute “to catch up”.
Most people don’t mind a person or two catching up after using the restroom, but some parties think that it is okay to have 5+ people cutting through the line.
One Disney dad is going viral for the hilarious way he handled a line cutter. The dad was patiently waiting in line to buy a balloon for his daughter at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park. In the video, a teenage boy can be seen walking into the frame and trying to get to the balloons. The dad doesn’t say anything.
He just stares. And stares. And stares. And boy, does that get the message across.

Fellow TikTokers could not get enough of the hilarious incident. The tired dad was not going to put up with any type of line-cutting, and the teenager got the message REAL FAST.
Dat look was ENUFF!!!??????? I cannot stand when ppl bypass you in a line like you are invisible. Dad said NOT taday!!?
What some commenters loved even more was the side-eye at the end. The dad wanted to make sure that the teenager understood, in case it wasn’t clear the first time.
That stare ? Boy got the message and the 2nd side eye was given just in case he did it again.?
The man was also praised for how he handled the situation. Too many times, Disney Fanatic has reported about fights that broke out in a Disney theme park. Many of those altercations take place in line or have something to do with a line situation. This man did not yell, he did not shout, and he did not get aggressive. He remained calm, but stern, while he was with his child.
And what I loved is that he did it without disturbing his daughter! She had no clue that dad was about to tear DW DOWN for her!???
If you are visiting a Disney park — or any theme park for that matter — please be respectful of those who have been waiting in line. If most of your party is not with you when you are ready to enter the ride queue, then don’t enter the ride queue. Wait until most or all of your party has joined you. Many people are understanding of bathroom issues leading to in-line meet-ups, but they are not as understanding of seven people in your party needing to “catch up.”
Works for a more intimidating person, that wouldn’t work for a short, older female like me. Line cutting is the thing I dislike most about Disney.
