There is a lot of planning that goes into a Disney vacation — from where you want to stay, where you want to eat, what kind of merchandise you want to buy, and what rides and attractions you want to experience. For some Guests, there is another big element that is a part of their Disney planning routine. That is what outfits they are going to wear in the Parks. Some people go with comfort over everything else. Other Guests love to DisneyBound as some of their favorite characters. And some Guests love to go all out and wear Dapper Day costumes, even when it isn’t Dapper Day.
However, one Guest recently asked how people felt about certain Disney outfits. Specifically, u/Objective-Extent-397 wanted to know how people felt about others wearing political shirts in the Parks. They also shared a picture of a man wearing a shirt saying that he supported the Second Amendment, which gives Americans the right to bear arms in a well-regulated militia.
I noticed a lot of people wearing pro 2A and political shirts. Do you all feel that this is the appropriate place to wear those shirts. Wondering what the consensus here is.

Overall, fellow Redditors seem to agree that wearing political shirts to Disney is something that shouldn’t be done. U/LowPoly_Surf says that, even if the shirts aren’t against the rules, it’s definitely tacky.
It’s not against the rules, but I personally find any political wear at Disneyland kind of tacky
Others, like u/Cjp0705 said that they didn’t like it when people used Disney logos to support their personal political leanings.
The worst is political Disney shirts, like a Blue Lives Matter flag on the Mickey Mouse logo, or wearing Ron DeSantis merch at Disney World 🤪
U/mbrady said that they visit the Parks to leave the real world and enjoy the fantasy that Disney offers, so that’s why they don’t like seeing political shirts in the Parks.
Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy
Try to leave as much of the outside world outside as possible.
While Disney does not have specific rules regarding political attire, they do reserve the right to deny entry over certain pieces of clothing. According to the Walt Disney World Resort website, Disney reserves the right to turn Guests away if they are wearing “Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics.”
In the past, we have seen Guests “dress-coded” over wearing too little clothing. However, we haven’t heard too much about Guests being told they can’t wear political shirts into the Parks.
