Earlier today, the Disney Fantasy set sail from Palma de Mallorca, marking the end of a magical one-day stop on the Mediterranean island.
The visit was part of a special 12-night European itinerary that concludes in Barcelona on July 12, 2025—and while the island dazzled guests with sun, culture, and adventure, it’s not likely to appear again on Disney Cruise Line schedules anytime soon.
This was the first-ever visit by the Disney Fantasy to the island of Mallorca, and its addition came as a surprise to many.
Originally, the ship was set to call at Naples, but due to environmental changes affecting cruising speeds in the region, Disney Cruise Line rerouted the itinerary to comply with new Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA) regulations.
The result? A rare and memorable stop in one of Spain’s most beautiful coastal cities.

Where Is Palma de Mallorca?
Located in the Balearic Islands off Spain’s eastern coast, Palma is known for its Gothic cathedral, Mediterranean charm, and historic old town.
It’s a popular summer destination, but it remains off the regular map for Disney Cruise Line. Despite being listed on the Disney Cruise Line website, no upcoming itineraries currently include Palma, making this visit all the more unique.
What’s Next for the Disney Fantasy?
After departing Palma, the Disney Fantasy is now sailing toward Barcelona, where its 12-night Mediterranean itinerary will officially conclude. This summer marks the ship’s first-ever European deployment, with sailings out of Rome, Barcelona, and soon Southampton, England.
Come November 2025, the Fantasy will cross the Atlantic and return to Port Canaveral, Florida, to resume its usual Caribbean and Bahamian routes, including stops at Castaway Cay and the new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
A Port Call to Remember
With no scheduled return on the books, the Fantasy’s visit to Palma de Mallorca may remain a one-time event—a brief but brilliant chapter in Disney Cruise Line history. From cultural tours to thrilling outdoor adventures, the day offered something for every guest in a port that truly lived up to the Disney name. Whether you explored by land, sea, or saddle, it was a day full of magic—Mallorcan style.
