Idina Menzel and Josh God — who were both named Disney Legends alongside their Frozen co-stars Jonathan Groff and Kristen Bell — were all set to star in the third Frozen film about Elsa and the kingdom of Arendelle (and, possibly, about Elsa's female love interest).
Unfortunately, however, it sounds like Disney princess fans and Disney Legends will all have to wait for a while longer!
HOW Many Years?
According to theories developed by The Direct, it is expected that Disney will release Frozen 3 in November of 2025 at the earliest (on November 26, specifically). This is an optimistic, but unconfirmed date.
Regardless of whether or not this theory turns out to be true, the fact remains that two more years is a long time for Arendelle fans and Elsa enthusiasts to wait!

The last Frozen movie was released in 2019, and the sequel did well even if some Disney fans still favored the original 2013 animated movie.
Hit songs like “Into the Unkown” and “Show Yourself” made it clear that, even if Disney seems to be floundering when it comes to inspiration in general, the world of Arendelle is one where the Muses are still flowing!
Do Elsa and Olaf Know?
Idina Menzel seemed enthusiastic about the project recently (in between dropping a bombshell about her original Disney crush), and Josh Gad shared the Tweet shown below to confirm his return to the role of Olaf the hug-loving snowman.

Remember November?
However, with Toy Story and Zootopia sequels also being created, Disney has its hands full — especially since a string of box-office failures have added some extra pressure to perform — so a longer wait time does sound plausible.
As The Direct put it, “both of Disney’s previous releases for Frozen happened in November, so the idea that the company would continue with this trend makes sense. Of course, that doesn’t stop many fans from wanting to see it released earlier than that.”

Disney Fanatics will certainly agree about that! Do you think that 2025 will be the year of Frozen 3‘s release, or do you think that we might (sadly) have to wait longer as the third Frozen film languishes in the “unknown”?
