In the latest and certainly shocking news from Disney, it appears a Walt Disney World Guest was sold an expired food product at a gift shop.

The Disney Parks have seen their fair share of unsavory news stories, whether because of bad Guest behavior, unforeseen ride malfunctions and temporary shutdowns, or occasionally even unfortunate interactions with the Cast Members who are usually the very heart of the Disney experience.

Occasionally, things do go awry in the world of Disney, and recently there was a report from a Disney Guest of a not-so-magical happening at a Disney Resort hotel during their Disney vacation.

The Guest, u/atschinkel on Reddit, shared that they went to Disney’s Beach Club’s gift shop to purchase some of Mickey’s Really Swell Coffee. The Guest was perfectly happy with their buy until they realized that the expiration date said: “best if used by 11/29/22.”

Naturally, the Guest was shocked. They added,

i’m sure the coffee is fine but i do think they should be a bit more diligent about selling expired goods on shelves. i definitely wouldn’t have purchased coffee that isn’t super fresh if i’d done my due diligence 😩😩

The Guest also checked in with fellow fans about whom to reach out to regarding the product. (Bearing in mind, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at a Disney Theme Park.)

Commenters were largely both very helpful and praised Disney for their customer service, indicating that was who the OP needed to reach out to.

In fact, u/stitchlover even added, “Customer service. My dad got all the way home and realized that the store left on one of those security devices on a hat. He had no Disney stores near him so he ended up getting an entire new one free from Disney for the inconvenience.”
