TRON:Ā Lightcycle Run (stylized by Disney as TRON: Lightcycle/Run) is a roller coaster that will be running as a parallel ride to its predecessor in Shanghai Disneyland, which is called TRON: Lightcycle Power Run.
Both Disney theme park roller coasters are inspired by the original 1982 movie called TRON, a science fiction and futuristic movie that became a cult classic.
When Disney released a sequel calledĀ TRON: Legacy back in 2010 that starred Garrett Hedlund and Jeff Bridges, plans officially seemed to move forward for more TRONĀ projects — and now a thirdĀ TRONĀ movie is also on the way! The movie being made by the Walt Disney Company will be called TRON: Ares, and will star Academy Award winner and somewhat-controversial actor Jared Leto.

The Magic Kingdom ride that is finally coming this year (after five years of waiting for Disney World fans and roller coaster enthusiasts) from Walt Disney Imagineering is going to feature some unique assets like dual seating options, which will allow the roller coaster passengers to choose which kind of seating they would like to experience on the Disney World ride.
The roller coaster involves “a high-speed adventure” and “racing against the Gridās most menacing Programs” in order to “cross through 8 Energy Gates”, according to the Disney website. This is supposedly one of the fastest Disney roller coasters in the world!
