Fans eagerly looking forward to the arrival of “Journey of Water” can get excited at a further update from Disney about the attraction.
The Walt Disney World Resort is renowned for being the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” The Disney Resort and its four Theme Parks are some of the best places in the world for a Disney vacation. One of the best parts of a Disney Park experience is the constant development of new rides and new attractions that Walt Disney Imagineering works hard on to keep delivering the standard of Disney experience fans are accustomed to.

One of the most anticipated up-and-coming rides is the Moana-themed attraction, “Journey of Water.” Opening in late 2023 in World Nature, the EPCOT attraction will be dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world. Per what we know so far, the attraction will be a self-guided outdoor trail where Guests can play and interact with water as it travels from the sky to the ocean and back again.
As we get closer to the opening date, Disney keeps sharing more and more sneak peeks into the attraction. Walt Disney Imagineering took to Instagram to share some photos of their progress.
Here’s what they also added,
Throughout Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, guests will have the opportunity to discover characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Moana” carved into the rocks and waterways of their surroundings. Our Imagineers worked closely with the studio to develop the artistic style of these characters who will naturally take form within the water-filled landscape. We are excited to see guests make their way through this self-guided trail next year and discover how Moana and her friends truly inspired the surroundings of this experience!
We are thrilled to see how this attraction is progressing and are incredibly excited to see what Guests will soon be able to enjoy and experience for themselves.
We at Disney Fanatic will continue to report on all Disney news as it comes to light.
