When you sit down to see what is trending, the last thing you probably want to see is an image depicting a Disney “Two Girls One Cup” movie poster circulating across social media. Nevertheless, this exact situation has reared its ugly head. It sounds almost too absurd to be true. We here at Disney Fanatic are again acting as fact-checkers to tear down these ridiculous viral rumors.

Questionable Content

The age of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about some truly amazing creations. However, with great power comes great responsibility. The sad fact is that AI can also generate some wickedly heinous creations. These computer programs are getting extremely good at generating believable images, and people have no problems spreading them all over the internet with reckless abandon, trying to fool people.

Over the summer, a movie poster depicting an extremely believable live-action Ferngully: The Last Rainforest movie made by Disney trended all over social media. The project looked pretty legit. It listed actress Zendaya in the leading role of Crysta, with other prominent actors like Benedict Cumberbatch and Jim Carrey also attached. While it claimed to be coming to theaters in December 2024, it was not true.

Disney has never made any announcement regarding the project, and a poster of that quality would not be made without major milestones in production. Nevertheless, the rumor circulated across social media, particularly on Facebook. It received hundreds of thousands of reshares and comments, wondering if it was real, and of course, we had to disappoint fans and debunk it.

While the Ferngully: The Last Rainforest poster was innocent, some of these viral sensations have been more sinister. Other less believable posters have appeared online since this incident. A ridiculous rumor involving a Pixar film titled “Lot Lizards” got some traction in August, which was fake. Is this Disney “Two Girls One Cup” poster circulating facing a similar false viral sensation?

Is a Disney “Two Girls One Cup” Movie Real?

It probably doesn’t need to be said to most people, but Disney would NEVER make a film titled “Two Girls One Cup.” Please do not search for this phrase if you have no idea why Disney would avoid using this title. The original version was a viral and obscene Brazillian pornographic video that circulated throughout the internet in which two girls participated in lewd sexual acts involving an absolutely disgusting fetish. That’s where we will leave it!

Nevertheless, this Disney “Two Girls One Cup” movie poster made the rounds across social media. Reactions were mostly of people laughing about it. Some made the joke about it already having a live-action variant, a means of calling out Disney for its love of remaking its classic films in live-action.

However, some criticized Disney for using the title and used it as fuel to attack the company. These people actually thought the poster could be real, claiming Disney was further destroying itself with such decisions. They called for a title change, showing how much AI can influence people online.

The poster is arguably a bit believable on the surface. However, the dead, empty stare of the characters and the title should instantly be a giveaway that something isn’t right. The Disney logo on top is also absolutely not legit. You can see for yourself in the tweet below.

A Disney film title is often way more creative, and the company is likely aware of what to avoid. Disney titles like Peter Pan, The Lion King, Toy Story, Inside Out, Finding Nemo, Robin Hood, and Little Mermaid are obviously made with much more thought.

So there you have it. A Disney “Two Girls One Cup” film will never happen, and the poster is generated by AI to cause mayhem. Remember always to be vigilant when seeing questionable creations online. If Disney has made no official announcement regarding an issue, it’s best to be skeptical and not get worked up over something you see, especially if it seems absurd.
