Disney Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship arrived in her new homeport, Port Canaveral, Florida, in the early morning hours of Monday, June 20. The Disney Wish’s arrival marked the end of her first transatlantic crossing from Germany and was sounded by her horn playing “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” from Disney’s Cinderella. The Disney Wish is the first addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet in ten years.

She arrived at port around 5:00 am local time to Captains Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as an excited fan base cheering her on. It should be noted that her christening will not be held until June 29, and her maiden voyage is not scheduled until July 14. After multiple Covid-related delays, she will finally join the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Dream with two other Triton-Class ships set to be added in the years to come.

Walt Disney Imagineers promise the Disney Wish to be the most magical Disney cruise ship yet, featuring classic experiences like the Oceaneers’ Club and Marvel Super Hero Academy, but also adding new experiences for cruisers of all ages like the AquaMouse dark ride/water coaster, an adult-themed Star Wars space called Star Wars: Hyperspace Longue, and the first-ever Imagineering highlight: The Walt Disney Imagineering Lab.
The Disney Wish has a packed schedule for the remainder of the year, taking passengers to The Bahamas, and Castaway Cay, including specially-themed sailings such as the return of Disney Cruise Line’s “Halloween on the High Seas.”
