Disney Announces Live-Stream Event for Disney Wish Christening

The newest addition to the fleet of Disney cruise ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Wish, is getting closer and closer to Port Canaveral, Florida as it has journeyed from the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Germany where it was made. Now that the Disney Wish has passed some sea trials and is getting closer and closer to its inaugural voyage with Disney Cruise Line Guests, the Disney Parks Blog has announced a special plan to celebrate!

Disney will be live-streaming a celebration for the christening of the Disney Wish cruise ship on June 29. Apparently, this digital event will include an “exclusive look inside some of the ship’s most highly anticipated features — like AquaMouse, the first-ever Disney attraction at sea; first-of-their-kind dining adventures themed to “Frozen” and Marvel; an immersive lounge set in the Star Wars galaxy; and a real-life wonderland for kids at Disney’s Oceaneer Club”.

There will also be lots of cameos from the cruise ship crew members and some musical number performances, as well as appearances from Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, and Pixar characters — so even if you’re not a fan of Disney cruises, you might want to tune in to watch! The Disney Wish is being touted as Disney’s most interactive and immersive cruise experience yet, with special restaurants and adventures for Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars fans in particular, so appearances from the relevant characters are definitely appropriate.

The Disney Uncharted Adventure will also be a promising addition to the Disney Wish, providing Guests with even more of a chance to truly experience their own Disney quests alongside their favorite characters! There are also luxurious Disney princess Tower Suites onboard, to help Guests relax after all of their invigorating experiences at sea.

The live-streamed celebration will take place at 11 am Eastern Standard Time on June 29. It will be accessible on the Disney Parks Blog as well as on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok!
