Calling all Disney Parks fans, Disney released its earnings presentation after the February 8 call, and there are some changes ahead for the Parks.
All Disney Fanatics would agree that the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are the ultimate spots for that quintessential Disney experience. But it seems that between Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products head, Josh D’Amaro both Disney Resorts are going to see some changes coming up soon.

Journalist Scott Gustin shared the news on Twitter; here’s the breakdown. As Gustin shares, “Disney is “focused on delivering a better guest experience” and making changes at domestic parks after listening to its guests.”
The slides highlight that the reservation system helped Disney manage their Theme Park crowd levels, bringing it to nearly “20% below pre-pandemic levels,” which they point out led to better Guest experience. As D’Amaro has mentioned time and again before, Disney optimizes for Guest satisfaction at a Theme Park.

Earlier this year, D’Amaro mentioned their pricing structure was intended to bring more flexibility to Guests and allow them a choice. In this interview, he also mentioned Disney’s belief in their Disney Genie product. Disney doubled down on this, highlighting the increased availability of the lowest-priced tickets, more access to Annual Passholder and Park Hopper tickets, and select complimentary digital photo downloads, as well as Disney Resort hotel Guests availing free parking .
Gustin also pointed out in his analysis that the reservation system during the peak season was used to highlight its successes and speculated whether Disney would change the Disney Park reservation system to function only during those periods, in light of their other comments of “listening to Guests.”
There was also a slide about those "recent changes" at domestic parks – but it's worth noting we still do not have a start date for most of these changes. They're still using "soon" in those instances. pic.twitter.com/Azt15oHFfX
