If Disney fans were losing hope that the Mouse House was listening and paying attention to feedback, one Guest shared an anecdote that proves it!
Bob Iger is certainly making an effort to bring in some real change with Disney Guests. The returned Disney CEO has been making the rounds over the last few months, checking in at the Disney Parks and prepping for the first quarter financial earnings call, where many are expecting a variety of truths to come to the fore.

However, in the meanwhile, for fans who were wondering if any real changes were being made with Iger back at the helm and after former CEO Bob Chapek was ousted, one Disney Guest has the answer for you: Yes! Disney Guest and Reddit user, u/JordanBlythe, shared a wonderful anecdote about how they “just got a phone call from Bob Iger’s office about a cast compliment [they] left.”
The OP shared,
When we were down in January I had an experience with a cast member at DHS that I would classify as “a magical moment”. I wrote an email about the encounter to the Guest Services email and apparently, it made it all the way up to Iger’s desk. This, to me, is really rad because it just shows how your compliment of a cast member is absolutely read by leadership and they take it very seriously.
In later comments, they clarified the response that they received from Iger’s office as well, sharing, “the conversation that I had with his office was awesome, they just wanted to thank me for the letter, tell me that the cast member is going to get recognized, and that they were going to use that story in internal training material.”
It’s truly a heartwarming moment for multiple reasons. For one, that Iger is making an effort to have Cast Members enjoy the recognition they deserve (although some would argue the Walt Disney Company should put its money where its mouth is) is, in and of itself, wonderful, however, to add to that, the Guest getting a personal call from the CEO’s office definitely demonstrates in spades that the Walt Disney Company is trying to set right some of its past inadequacies.
