The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are two of the best places to enjoy a Disney vacation. Going to either Disney Resort is an experience to write home about. With experiences and attractions like Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park, Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and lands like Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park, it’s no surprise this is the case. However, not every part of the Disney experience is necessarily as magical as the rest.

Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane
The Disney Genie suite has been a source of frustration for many Disney Guests for months going on years now. A three-piece puzzle including Genie Plus (Genie+), Lightning Lane, and Individual Lightning Lane, many Guests have felt since its introduction that it does more to hurt than help the Disney experience; many have expressed that they spend a lot of time on their phones trying to work out a confusing system instead of present at the Disney Parks.
Disney has always maintained that the product is one “they believe in,” and have recently announced changes to the system that they plan to implement after listening to Guest feedback.

Genie+ and Lightning Lane Changes at Haunted Mansion
Perhaps as part of these changes, but certainly as ones that will be implemented sooner rather than later, WDWMAGIC reported that Haunted Mansion is now being tested for extended Lightning Lane entry at Walt Disney World. The original two Lightning Lane touchpoints are now covered, and Disney has added three mobile touchpoints inside the entry gate.
It’s unclear at present what prompted these changes, and Disney has not officially announced this. In addition, no other attraction has been reported to be testing this new system.

Haunted Mansion
An iconic and classic Disney World attraction, Haunted Mansion is a dark ride that takes Guests on a spooky journey through a haunted manor filled with ghosts and supernatural elements. The Haunted Mansion opened its doors on October 1, 1971, in Disneyland Park and has become a Disney Park staple since its introduction. The ride was successful enough even to inspire movies, including the upcoming one starring Rosario Dawson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny DeVito, and a larger star-studded cast.
