Disney’s Water Parks provide the opportunity to relax by the pool, enjoy some thrilling aquatic attractions and cool off under the hot Florida sun. However, as Disney fans know Typhoon Lagoon has been open at the Walt Disney World Resort, for any Guests hoping to frequent the Disney Park Blizzard Beach, they haven’t been able to do that.

And, unfortunately, the wait continues.

The outlet Screamscape reported recently that while Disney still plans to reopen the Park this fall, the date has been pushed back further. It was previously indicated that the Theme Park could open in late October or early November, but it seems more likely that the opening will be pushed back a few weeks — think the end of November or even December. Per the report, the reason for this delay is to “finish up a few projects, as well as clean up and repair damage from Hurricane Ian.”

Hurricane Ian, which made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 Hurricane, and was eventually reduced to a Tropical Storm, caused Walt Disney World Resort to close down for two days. The Disney Parks, as well as Disney Springs, reopened in phases after the storm had passed. The Disney properties didn’t sustain too much damage from the storm.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to keep readers updated on all Disney news as it comes to light.
