Time to plan a visit to Walt Disney World Resort! With the 50th Anniversary in full swing, entertainment, dining, and characters are making a comeback, including this fan-favorite “humongous” character.
April 18, 2022, is a BIG day! After years of awkward socially distancing and being 6-feet apart after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney Guests are FINALLY able to once again hug, high-five, and ask for autographs from favorite Disney characters.
While we previously shared the return of Mickey and Minnie at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Adventurers Outpost, we have now learned Sulley is returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
It’s no secret that the humongous-sized Sulley is one Disney Park Guests can’t get enough of. The Monsters, Inc. (2001) main character is a monster that we love to give a good squeeze to, just like the film’s little girl, “Boo.”
Sulley has been noticed in the cavalcade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it’ll be great to see him back in his element at Walt Disney Presents which sits near the entrance of Toy Story Land, just behind Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
The Walt Disney World calendar notes Sulley’s return to his character meet and greet on April 18, 2022, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Currently, Sulley has NOT been added to the Disney Genie+ list of characters to skip the line for. You will however find Olaf and Mickey and Minnie at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the pay to skip the line option.
Disney describes the Sulley encounter as “It’ll Be a Scream – the Fun Kind! Get ready for a warm and wild welcome as you step inside the world of Monsters, Inc. to meet, greet and pal around with Sulley. Don’t let his horns, claws and humongous size fool you—James P. “Sulley” Sullivan has a soft spot for humans.”
Welcome back to Sulley! Looking for Sulley’s partner in crime, Mike Witkowski? The small, green, ball-looking monster, Mike, was removed from the duo’s meet and greet pre-COVID and there are currently no signs of his return.
