Walt Disney World Resort has more than 25 incredible hotels to choose from — ranging from Deluxe hotels for those to splurge, to Value hotels for those who want to spend their money on different parts of their vacation. Some of the most popular hotels are moderate Resorts, which have some great amenities, but not the higher price tag.
Disney’s moderate Resort hotels include Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Port Orleans – French Quarter, and Port Orleans – Riverside.
Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside brings guests into the heart of rural Louisiana. The Resort is full of mansions, complete with classic white columns, in addition to cottages that are frequently seen along the bayou. There are also several incredible dining options where guests can indulge in Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, a Low country boil, jambalaya, and, of course, beignets.

As with all Walt Disney World Resort hotels, there are also several places to enjoy a delicious cocktail. Unfortunately, one woman allegedly enjoyed too many cocktails and ended up creating quite a ruckus.
According to a recently released police report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside on September 5. They were called by Disney Security, who needed backup in handling the escalating situation.

The police report states that when officers arrived, a “heavily intoxicated” woman “made several false allegations of Resort staff of battering her.” Disney Security informed the officers that they had issued a trespass notice against the woman — identified as Jillian Dyehouse — and needed the officers’ help in removing her from the property.
A trespass notice means that Ms. Dyehouse is banned from visiting any Disney property.
The police officers said that they led Ms. Dyehouse back to her hotel room, so she could pack her belongings. They noted that Dyehouse was “noticeably intoxicated” and was slurring her words and struggling to walk.
While in her room and packing her belongings, Dyehouse allegedly began arguing with the officers. She even got violent and threw things at the officers. The police report reads:
“During the argument, Jillian began throwing items in the room as she packed, causing so much noise that it woke up guests in neighboring rooms, who opened their doors to see what was causing the commotion and asked to be moved to separate rooms for the night.”
A deputy reportedly tried to calm her down and convince her to continue packing without further incident. That only seemed to anger Dyehouse more, and she ended up throwing a chair at the police and Disney security officers.
The officers arrested her, but she tried to tense up to make things more difficult for them, so they had to put her on the floor to apply the handcuffs.
Dyehouse was taken to the Orange County jail and booked on charges of disorderly intoxication, trespass, and resisting an officer without violence — three misdemeanors.
The Florida Department of Children and Families was also forced to step in because Dyehouse was visiting Walt Disney World with her underage child. The child was taken to the home of a nearby family member, who agreed to watch her.
Despite the serious nature of her actions, the State Attorney’s office has declined to press charges. On October 10, State Attorney Andrew Bain filed to dismiss the charges, saying they were “not suitable for prosecution.”
