Actor Dylan Postl, AKA Hornswoggle, slammed Disney for its choice to remove the seven dwarfs from the upcoming Snow White movie.
It’s been many years of Guests and fans voicing their frustrations about Disney’s alleged “wokeness” and “pandering to woke audiences.” From The Little Mermaid and the casting of Black singer and actress Halle Bailey to the changes to Peter Pan and Wendy, which was released in April, many took issue with the direction the Walt Disney Company is taking. One of the most recent movies that has faced this criticism is Disney’s upcoming Snow White.

Audiences Speak Out About Snow White
When Disney announced Latina actress Rachel Zegler would be playing Snow White, many rejoiced at the choice, however, many took Disney to task for its casting decision. Audiences felt this would be changing the story of Snow White too much.
Recently, more photos have surfaced that revealed that Disney was changing the narrative to remove the seven dwarfs from the picture and instead have them be magical creatures. This change comes on the back of much consideration and talks with the dwarfism community, per Disney.
Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage even shared, “Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me. Because you’re progressive in one way, but you’re still making that f*****g backward story of the seven dwarfs living in a cave. What the f*** are you doing, man?”

Dylan Postl Slams Disney for Removing the Seven Dwarfs from the Movie
However, some are bemused by this turn of events. Actor Dylan Postl shared his frustration while talking with Piers Morgan about the movie.
Postl shared,
“So it’s not a progression at all to me…There are actors, dwarf actors, that dream to be in a major motion picture such as this Disney remake. And now, because Peter Dinklage said what he said last year, now, it’s taken away. And it’s taken because of ‘progression.’ It’s not right because these are roles made for actors of my stature, roles that aren’t ever really given.”
He elaborated, “I can’t go out for the Harrison Ford or the George Clooney roles because that’s not for me. These dwarf roles are for people of my stature and now it’s taken away. I don’t feel that’s right.”
It’s a difficult time to be Disney when all of their actions are criticized by one side or another.
At this time, a Disney spokesperson has only expressed, “To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community.”
