Disney has been dealing with several PR challenges in the past several months, with one of the most recent obstacles involving the new live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (which will star West Side Story actress Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Israeli actress Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen).
Now, the famously-outspoken British writer and television personality Piers Morgan has chimed in after Disney has allegedly made some alterations to the movie’s casting!
On his show Piers Morgan Uncensored, Piers Morgan reportedly addressed Disney’s decision to cast actors who are not dwarves in the roles of Snow White’s seven dwarves.
This supposed casting decision was revealed via leaked photos earlier this week; Disney denied that the photos were real initially, but admitted that they were legitimate soon after.
Stand-Ins or Actors? Regardless, the Damage Is Done
Disney did emphasize that these were photos of stand-ins, not the actors who will actually be playing the roles — but the backlash is still persisting, especially since stand-ins and body doubles are people with paid jobs on a movie set just like regular actors are.
“I’ve always used my show as a way to stand up for the little guys. Never before have I meant that quite so literally as I do tonight,” Morgan began on his television show.
“Behind-the-scenes pictures from Disney’s remake of Snow White were leaked this weekend and there seems to be a sizeable problem… where are the dwarfs?”

Piers Morgan then used a Snow White metaphor, saying that “they’ve bitten the poison apple of diversity and inclusion, which has decided to exclude them.”
The television personality went on to attack Disney’s new “woke” status by pointing out that the casting choice may have done more harm than good.
“The people who have really suffered in this [are] the six dwarf actors who would have expected to have roles in this remake, in this massive Hollywood blockbuster, who are now not going to have that experience, the money, the fame that might have come with it,” Morgan declared.
“Virtue-Signalling Idiots”
“I think this is a real issue if you’re a dwarf actor who’s now out of work due to virtue-signalling idiots who think everything needs to be rewritten to be inclusive,” Morgan continued.
“The moment we have dwarf roles, which are the most famous dwarf roles in Hollywood history, the only people who apparently can’t play them are dwarf actors. I see stinking woke hypocrisy,” the British celebrity said emphatically.

Piers Morgan included dwarf actor Dylan Postl in the conversation. Postl became known for his WWE work as the character Hornswoggle.
Postl agreed with Morgan, emphasizing that “there are actors – dwarf actors – that dream to be in a major motion picture such as this remake. Now it’s taken away, and it’s taken away for, quote unquote, progression. It’s not right.”
“I can’t go up for the Harrison Ford or George Clooney roles because they are not roles made for me. Now they shouldn’t be dwarfs? The story is literally called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Postl protested.
