Recently, a poster of a movie titled “Frankie The Elf on the Shelf” made the rounds on Facebook, but is it real? We at Disney Fanatic jumped in to fact-check.
This year, we Disney fans have seen a rise in AI-generated movie posters of potential Disney movies. Many a time, these posters have given audiences the impression that they are official Disney films that are in the pipeline and that have been greenlit by Disney.
Recently, another movie has faced this same treatment, and we decided to run our usual deep dive to check out whether the movie was for real or not.

Frankie and The Elf on the Shelf Posters Make Their Way Across the Internet
Right before this weekend, a Facebook user posted two images of movie posters for two movies titled Frankie: The Elf on the Shelf, and Frankie, which went viral on the social media platform. The posters were quite convincing (more so than the recent Johnny Depp poster), and had many genuinely believing these movies were soon to be produced and released by Disney/Pixar.

What’s the Truth?
Of course, the reality is that these posters are just one more in the long list of movie-posters that are fake. Disney and Pixar have not officially announced any movies of these titles or subjects.
The posters are also clearly of the quality of the AI-generated images that have been making the rounds and are not of the usual standard we expect from a Disney/Pixar film.
