Going to a Disney Park, whether at the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort, is an experience that many Disney fans cherish. With rides and attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park, as well as lands like Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park, it’s perfectly understandable why that’s the case.
However, not all Guest experiences go well, and sometimes, Guests have noted that their experience at a Disney Theme Park is much less fun than they’d hoped.
Recently, Disney Guest Daisy took to social media to detail why she would never go back to Disneyland and even went so far as to say she hated the Disney Resort.
She opened her video, stating, “You would literally have to pay me a thousand dollars to go to Disneyland again.” Daisy explained it was the “worst experience she’d had in a long time” and that neither she nor her daughter had fun.
In the video, Daisy explains what went wrong:

Daisy explained that her daughter wanted to explore Minnie Mouse’s house, and the child wanted to actually play in the house but due to the large crowds who were all focused on “taking selfies,” her daughter couldn’t play and enjoy herself. Daisy also elaborated that her daughter got very impatient because they had to wait 45 minutes in line to be able to enter Minnie Mouse’s house and then couldn’t enjoy the experience.
Daisy was also unimpressed with her daughter’s interaction with Minnie Mouse, where she felt like the Cast Member had clearly been “waiting to clock out.”
Some Guests were sympathetic to Daisy’s experience. One shared, “I took my kids to Disneyland once at 8 and 6… you couldn’t PAY me to ever go back again. Totally different experience from when I was a kid.”
Another added, “Disney definitely in its flop era. I’m so glad I went as much as possible 2000-2015.”
However, many also called out the OP on her take, highlighting that it was peak season and that Daisy hadn’t planned her trip well enough. One suggested that she should have purchased Lightning Lane (part of the Disney Genie Plus (Genie+) suite) passes for the trip.
One even said, “Don’t go then,” while another commented, “oh please tell me this is a joke.”
It’s worth remembering that Disney’s peak season is the summer considering that schools are out and more families can visit the Parks at this time. This is also only one Guest’s experience at Disneyland and not a universal experience at the beloved Disney Parks.
