A Disney guest shared a shocking account of how they found a bloody fingerprint at one of Disney’s All-Star Resort.
Having the chance to enjoy a Disney vacation, especially at Central Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort, is no small opportunity. The Disney resort is known for the incredible experience it provides guests, from myriad rides and attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park to the magical lands and entertainment offerings at Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT.
However, sometimes untoward events can happen at either a Disney resort hotel or a Disney Park, be that guests behaving badly, or altercations between park visitors and cast members. Most recently, bloody fingerprints were reportedly found at one of Disney’s All-Star Resorts.
A Disney guest reported, “So I’m currently staying at an all star resort and found a bloody fingerprint I’m assuming from house keeping when we were gone and manager said she was going to give us free genie plus for the next day.”
The guest had initially attached a photo of the image as well but then later took it down, perhaps because of its disturbing nature.
It’s important to note that this incident has not been officially confirmed by Disney, and is a guest report.
It’s also heartening to see that Disney has worked the magic they usually do when something untoward happens and “made some magic” for the guests by giving them free Genie+ for the next day.
However, through this, fellow guests and park visitors had some strong feelings about the incident and shared as much in the comments. The guest had initially asked whether receiving free Genie+ for the next day was enough compensation for needing to deal with the bloody fingerprint, which was not necessarily received well.
One fellow Disney fan said, “Lmao, what else do you want? A cookie? Be grateful you were compensated.”
On the other hand, some other fans were far more sympathetic to the OP’s situation, sharing, “It’s literally a biohazard. Shower gel? It’s a strangers blood. There’s protocols with cleaning other peoples bodily fluids for a reason.”
Another agreed, “It’s not too much to expect a blood free room while you’re staying in an expensive resort…”
This said, the situation seems to have been rectified quickly and correctly by Disney.
More on Disney’s All-Star Resorts
Disney’s All-Star Resorts are three of five value resorts at Walt Disney World. These are the All-Star Movies Resort, All-Star Music Resort, and All-Star Sports Resort. The value resorts are the most affordable of all Disney resorts and are ones that guests might choose if they were looking to spend the majority of their time at the parks and no time at all in their hotel rooms.
It’s also worth noting that value resorts—the All-Star resorts included—tend to be more heavily Disney-themed than their more expensive counterparts.
