Disney and Disney Guests can’t seem to escape numerous issues and complaints when it comes to some recent developments, it seems.
Pick any of the four at – , Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or the Animal Kingdom or and in . Visitors planning a visit there know to expect long wait times and know to be prepared with Genie+. But recently, with the many updates that have come to the Lightning Lane reservation and Disney Genie Plus systems, Guests are voicing certain frustrations to the Walt Disney Company.
Some have expressed in the past that the system doesn’t do enough for the money they are paying for it, wherein they wait 30-45 minutes in a queue to go on an attraction or ride. But now, some Guests have voiced something different: they feel Disney is prioritizing Lightning Lane Guests too much.
TikTok user and Disney Guest @littlestbowshoppe took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.

As the OP said, “I’m pretty sure telling people to move forward and fill all the space in between them and the person in front of them so the line will go faster doesn’t make the line go faster…You know what does make the line go faster? Not letting in ten Lightning Lanes for every one person in the standby. That makes the standby go real slow.”
Some commenters came to Disney’s defense mentioning that even with the previous FastPass+ system, this used to be the case, but @littlestbowshoppe responded saying, “I don’t remember them prioritizing FP in a 10 to 1 ratio…and everyone had equal chances to snag one or 2 a day. It wasn’t perfect, but this is worse.”
But the OP found enough agreement in the comments as well. @tigerlily3232 said, “completely agree I think fast passes can be nice but they’re not affordable and having to explain to your child why 10 other people got to go first…completely heartbreaking.” They wrote, “not only do they get to break the rules and cut in line but it they also make the line a lot longer.”
This isn’t the only thing that Lightning Lane and Genie+ have been in the news for this week, however. Earlier, the Walt Disney Company announced a number of price increases from the Genie+ prices, to ticket price increases, to price increases for specific rides.
At this moment, Disney has not responded to any of these complaints from fans, officially.
