In a scary turn of events, an infant suffered a seizure at a Disney Park recently; and the ability of Disney Park first responders was put to the test in the face of an emergency.

The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort have most definitely earned their monikers of “The Most Magical Place on Earth” and “The Happiest Place on Earth,” respectively.

Any Disney theme park at each Disney Resort is filled with myriad entertainment offerings for guests of all ages. But occasionally, not-so-magical things happen at the Disney Parks, and it’s up to Disney Cast Members and first responders to attend to the task.

Disney guest, TikToker, and mom Jess Carpenter shared her story of what happened when her infant suffered a surprise seizure during their Disney Park visit recently.

Carpenter shares a harrowing story wherein she had just ridden the Matterhorn at Disneyland Resort and had left her child with his uncle and the other kids who didn’t want to go on the ride as the baby was still in his stroller.

Carpenter details that when she got off the ride and went to go pick up her kid, the baby started having a sudden seizure, even though he had no history of seizure disorder.

As Carpenter continues to detail, while she dialed 911, her sister went back and alerted a Cast Member.

The CM, in turn also alerted 911 and Disney medical staff. Carpenter’s son continued to go into an unresponsive state, and the family panicked and asked fellow park visitors if they were medical professionals.

Carpenter details that “Disneyland is a big park” and she doesn’t fault anyone for this, but notes it took 5 minutes for the Disney nurses to arrive and look over the child, who had started breathing again by this point.

Eventually, the paramedics also arrived and transported the mother and son to a hospital for further medical care. It’s undoubtedly a relief to hear that all ended well with this family.
