It’s an Icy Duet for the World Princess Week Finale

Credit: Disney
For World Princess Week‘s magical ending, Disney has chosen to honor not one but two princesses–well, a princess and a queen! The sisters from Frozen and Frozen 2, Anna and Elsa, are today’s honorees. These heroines are some of Disney’s most well-known, due to the meteoric success of their movies, and due to their endearing personalities. Anna (played by Kristen Bell) is the younger sibling, a redheaded optimist who is “uninhibited” and doesn’t hesitate to befriend strangers, even if they’re a talking snowman like Olaf. Elsa (played by Idina Menzel) is the oldest; she is self-assured, calm, and imbued with strange ice powers. During their adventures together, the two sisters have grown both individually and as a duo. Read below to find out how they’re being celebrated today across the world!

Lots of Disney Guests missed EPCOT’s Maelstrom when it closed in the World Showcase’s Norway, but the replacement ride, “Frozen Ever After,” has also been a hit! On this ride, Anna, Olaf, Elsa, Sven, and Kristoff can all be seen! In Disney’s Hollywood Studios,  “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” brings Guests all of the wonderful music from Frozen, as well as stories and “special guests”. There’s also lyrics on-screen, so you can treat it like karaoke! Frozen Fractal Gifts is a great follow-up destination after the Nordic karaoke, and you can get adorable costumes for your children. Which character does your child want to be?

In Disneyland, Disney Guests can see Anna and Elsa on a parade float making their way down Main Street, U.S.A. This parade happens many times each day, and includes “Frozen’s” signature music! Anna and Elsa also frequent Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure, so keep an eye out for them today since they’re likely to make an appearance!

There’s been lots of excitement around the 2022 unveiling of Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish, and now we know that there will be another element to look forward to! “Frozen’s” first theatrical dining experience, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, will be on the ship. This performance’s storyline will catch up right after Frozen 2, which fans will love; Elsa and Olaf “will host an engagement party for Anna and Kristoff”, and Nordic versions of Frozen songs will be played!

The Castle of Magical Dreams has been mentioned many times this week by Hong Kong Disneyland, it’s featured again today since Anna and Elsa have their own tower on the castle! The tower is the same baby blue color as Elsa’s famous dress, and the column’s silver finial is “inspired by Elsa’s ice magic and the snow that propels her on her adventure with Anna”. Hong Kong Disneyland also has a relatively new outdoor show called “Follow Your Dreams,” and Elsa is included in this show!

A detailed, “immersive” Frozen destination is also going to be added to this park, and Disney Guests will really feel like they’re in Arendelle, Anna and Elsa’s kingdom. Norwegian food will definitely be a highlight! Oaken the shop-owner (and sauna enthusiast) will have his own ride, called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs (where Guests will also meet Olaf and Sven) and EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After is also being duplicated in Hong Kong.

In Shanghai Disneyland, visitors can partake in an interactive sing-along with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff at  “Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration”, then view the Frozen mural at the Enchanted Storybook Castle! Mickey’s Storybook Express and Mickey’s Storybook Adventure both also include Anna, Elsa, and the people of Arendelle.

While we’re not sure if it will include a Wandering Oaken’s ride like in Hong Kong, Tokyo DisneySea’s upcoming Fantasy Springs will also have a Frozen-inspired area.

Disneyland Paris is encouraging visitors to “skate over” to Animation Celebration and meet the Disney princess Elsa and the Disney ‘queen’ Anna, and the two girls will also be floating down the street throughout the day! Just like in Hong Kong and Tokyo, a Frozen-themed area is also on its way to this park.

There’s plenty of Frozen merchandise to choose from for today’s little holiday, and there’s also a new episode in Disney’s “Courage and Kindness” series on Youtube! This episode promises to be even more entertaining and inspiring than the last, since it features two Disney princesses instead of one!

We’re going to miss celebrating a princess (or two) every day in this Ultimate Princess Celebration, but you can always celebrate them in your own way by exhibiting courage and kindness as you live your life! Which princess is your favorite, and which princess are you most focused on emulating in your day-to-day life?
