After all the trouble the former jewel of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnny Depp, has been through, he has made a triumphant comeback with luxury brand Dior.
Johnny Depp has had a slow climb back up the ladder after the fiasco and scandal that he was embroiled in with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Heard levied accusations of domestic abuse against Depp, after which the veteran actor, who rose to particular fame for his role in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series, lost most of his contracts and was ostracized from Hollywood.
After the lawsuit that Depp won against Heard, the defamation case, his name restored, he has set about rebuilding his career. And now, he has made a triumphant comeback with a deal with $20 million.

Who Is the Face of Dior’s Sauvage Fragrance?
Per the latest reports, Johnny Depp has signed a new deal to be the face of luxury brand Dior’s fragrance, Sauvage. The brand unveiled a 30-second advertisement entitled ‘The Call of The Blazing Sun of Sauvage Eau de Toilette,’ featuring Depp reciting poetry against scenic backdrops.
The deal is reportedly the “biggest men’s fragrance deal ever” and is a three-year contract.

What Happened Between Dior and Johnny Depp?
Notably, Dior was one of the few brands that stood by Depp when all other studios and companies dropped him during the Amber Heard accusation and trial. While many are now coming out of the woodwork to support Depp, the actor has maintained and expressed gratitude for Dior’s unwavering support.
Depp has described his partnership with the luxury brand as a “class act” and a “testament to strength and courage.”

The Walt Disney Company once enjoyed an easy and strong relationship with the actor, which has since broken, considering the company dropped him as Captain Jack Sparrow during the Amber Heard debacle.
Since then, there has been much speculation about whether Depp will return to Disney or stay away, with many alleged inside sources confirming both sides of the story.
Looking at Dior’s behavior as an example, it stands to reason that perhaps there is still much to gain from partnering with the actor who brought everyone’s favorite swashbuckling pirate to life; producer Jerry Bruckheimer has even left the door open and made clear he’d like to see Depp back in the role.

At the moment, there have been no confirmations or denials of Depp’s return to the Pirates franchise, but many fans are certainly hopeful that Depp will grace the silver screen once again as the irreplaceable Captain Jack Sparrow.
